While there, I also picked up a little hair clog remover. I've seen them advertised the last few years, but I wasn't sure if they worked. My main bathtub drain has not been draining, and rather than take it all apart, I figured for $2.99, it was worth the risk.
Dad and I looked over tiles at the store for about 15 minutes, and I finally made my decision. I went with a grey color. I was out the door for less than $80. And with two bathroom floors to do, that just can't be beat!
Once back at home, I wanted to try out the Zip-It tool. I could barely get it down the drain, so I wasn't sold on it. It kept bending. But wondering if it might be a big clog, I just kept trying. It finally went through something, so I pulled back on it. I thought I was going to break it! But wouldn't you know it, some hair came up!
I went at it again, and this time the tool went down easier. I pulled up another mess of hair. I went for a third time, and it went much easier and further. But on this pull, I just wasn't ready for what it brought out! I seriously pulled up a small fur baby! It was SO gross!
No wonder the tub wouldn't drain! GROSS! |
I must say, I'm completely sold on this product! Truly amazing! It cleared my drain for $2.99! Nice product, Zip-It!
I borrowed Dad's muscles while he was there to remove the toilet out of the Master Bathroom. The plan is to start laying the tiles in there tomorrow. Time to update this house a couple of decades!
Thankfully, the floor is in great shape! Ready for tile! |
Look how clean that drain is! |
We'll just address that later... |
