Exterior Lights!

I received a text from Mom that she was heading to the northside Menard's to purchase two exterior light fixtures from the display wall.

WHAT?!  These were the EXACT lights that I tried to purchase and was told, "No, we don't sell display models!"

Oh, to have a woman's touch.

She also let me know that Dad was heading to the southside Menard's to do the exact same thing.  The lights were sold out at both locations except for the display models.  But she got 'em!  Four of 'em!  And the best part?!  I purchased all four for $32.  Yup!  What a steal!

And Dad wasted no time installing.  He sent me pictures of the front of the house today.

The theme of this house is certainly, "Out with the old, in with the new!"

I LOVE them!  So much better!  It's all about that initial impression, and the curb appeal just increased!  Actually, one of the more comical aspects of this house was the front right light fixture.  It was loose, and when I bought the house it was sideways.  Well, I have set that thing straight more times than I can count, but wouldn't you know it, it would always tilt right back to where it loved to be?  Sideways!
